Ultrasounds

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create detailed images of organs, blood vessels, and soft tissues. Unlike X-rays, which mainly show bones and solid structures, ultrasound excels at visualizing soft tissues and organs like the liver, kidneys, spleen, bladder, intestines, and heart. The real-time nature of ultrasound enables our veterinarians to monitor organ function, observe blood flow, and guide biopsies or fluid-collection procedures.

We commonly use ultrasound to determine the underlying cause of vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, abdominal pain, and urinary problems. It helps us diagnose conditions like bladder stones, kidney disease, liver disease, pancreatitis, intestinal obstructions, tumors, and heart disease. We also perform pregnancy ultrasounds to confirm successful breeding, count the number of puppies or kittens, and assess fetal health.
