Dr. Hensen

Dr. Hensen

Veterinarian

Growing up competing in El Paso County 4-H allowed for Dr. Hensen to discover her passion for animals and taught her the basic skills she needed to become a veterinarian. She also focused on animal welfare and western heritage while promoting the El Paso County Fair and the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo as a rodeo queen. Dr. Hensen graduated Magna cum Laude from Colorado State University with Bachelor of Science degrees with Honors in both Animal Science and Equine Science, and minors in Biomedical Science and Business Administration. She then completed her Veterinary Business Certificate with Honors and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona.

As a Colorado Springs native, Dr. Hensen is excited to be the new owner of Fillmore Veterinary Hospital, where she wants to focus on high quality medicine with a family-friendly atmosphere. Dr. Hensen's professional interests include pathology, epidemiology, giant breed dog care, and preventative medicine. She takes pride in connecting with clients and their beloved pets in the exam room. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, reading, and horseback riding. She also enjoys growing her hobby farm, which includes horses, dogs that might as well be horses, a miniature horse that should be considered a dog, cats, goats, and a pot-bellied pig!
Dr. Hoadley

Dr. Hoadley

Veterinarian

Dr. Joseph Hoadley is a Colorado native who was raised in Calhan, Colorado, and has been committed to veterinary medicine from a young age. He began volunteering in the veterinary medical field at just 14 years old and eventually went on to work as a veterinary assistant, gaining early, hands-on experience that firmly shaped his career path. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, followed by a Master of Science in Toxicology from Colorado State University. Dr. Hoadley went on to complete his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Colorado State University in 2025.

As the newest associate veterinarian at Fillmore Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Hoadley is eager to build a strong clinical foundation and continue learning across all aspects of small animal medicine, with a special interest in surgery. He is enthusiastic about this next chapter of his career and values thoughtful, thorough care for every patient.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hoadley enjoys spending time with his wife, Baylee, and their cat, Klaus. He loves watching and playing sports, experimenting in the kitchen, and exploring new places throughout the state of Colorado.
Dr. Lee

Dr. Lee

Veterinarian

Dr. Lee has always had a passion for animals. This lifelong interest led her to UC Davis, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science. After traveling throughout Europe and completing several externships, she further deepened her appreciation for the human-animal bond. Dedicated to expanding her knowledge abroad, Dr. Lee earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George's University in 2012, where she also met her husband on the beautiful island of Grenada.

Dr. Lee and her husband lived in Michigan for 10 years before an exciting opportunity brought them to Colorado in 2022. With the promise of more sunshine and being closer to family, the move was an easy decision. Now settled in Colorado Springs with their two children, they enjoy traveling in their free time and doting on their Staffordshire bull terrier, Georgia.

Dr. Lee enjoys working with multiple species and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients.
Dr. Cor

Dr. Cor

Veterinarian

Dr. Cor grew up on a farm in southern Wisconsin in a Dutch immigrant family where he developed a love for animals, whether they be pets or livestock. Combining his passion for animals with a love and amazement for science, being a veterinarian was a goal from early high school.

After graduating from Dordt University in NW Iowa, he attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in May 1987. Along the way he met his wife Brenda and together they moved to Colorado Springs. He joined Dr. Merle Watts, the founder of Fillmore Veterinary Hospital, and bought the practice 18 months later. The hospital grew from a 1 doctor practice to 3-4 doctors at a time. Dr. Hensen bought FVH from Dr. Cor in November 2024 and he continues to enjoy working part-time, taking care of pets of long time clients, some even spanning several generations within the same family!
