We're pleased to offer the following services in our Colorado Springs Veterinary Clinic:
Our administrative assistants and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We are currently booking out about 3-4 weeks for routine appointments, so please call us ahead of when your pet is due for vaccines. For more urgent illnesses, we usually have a number of same-day appointments available, but they do book up fast. Please call our administrative assistants as soon as possible in the day to schedule an appointment. If you can't reach us, please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
At this time, we are unfortunately unable to take on new clients,, including reptiles, avians, and exotics. Please call us if you have any questions.
Emergency & Urgent Care
Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open, on a case-by-case basis. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us immediately so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency. We have veterinary personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle most urgent care needs that your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a rat poisoning, hit by car, foreign body ingestion, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call immediately. Please understand that sometimes we are not able to accommodate emergencies. We may advise you to go to your nearest pet Emergency Clinic if our doctors are in surgery or are already helping with other life-saving procedures. We want your pets to get the best possible care, no matter where that care is given.
Types of Pets Seen
Because we have four veterinarians practicing at Fillmore Veterinary Hospital, we can care for many types of pets. Dr. Cor Vanderwel, DVM and Dr. Karen Ricketts, DVM care for both dogs and cats. Dr. Jesse Webb cares for dogs, cats, reptiles, terrapins, tortoises, birds, and many small animals such as rabbits, rats, hamsters and ferrets. Dr. Connie Lee cares for dogs, cats, and pocket pets.
Fillmore Veterinary Hospital accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and Care Credit. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, payment must be made at the time services are rendered.
We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
Online and In-House Pharmacies
We now offer a trusted online pharmacy where you can order your pet's medication at any time. Our pharmacy is fully accredited, with strict quality and safety standards. We also offer FREE shipping, instant rebates, and AutoShip delivery options - all integrated with our practice’s medical records for more visibility into your pet's treatment and care. Because we cannot guarantee the efficacy or authenticity of products purchased from third party pharmacies, we will no longer be working with them directly. We understand that these pharmacies tend to be more cost-efficient, but unfortunately that can sometimes be at the cost of your pet's safety.
We also have a pharmacy in house where we can usually fill prescriptions for your pet during their appointment. If you need a refill, please call us at 719-633-3808 and choose option 2 to leave a message for a pharmacy technician. We can usually fill your prescription in 24-48 hours, but sometimes it does take longer. If you would like us to notify you when your prescription is ready, please let us know.
